ADS Solutions Brings Efficiencies to Distributors

Today's new, innovative small business distribution software has eased the need for employees and sales staff to devote long hours to manual processes and stacks of paperwork that were once a necessity for every order and record keeping.

The efficiency of wholesale distribution software allows more employee time to be spent on marketing products and connecting with customers–both activities that increase return on investment and protect a company's customer base. However, specialized distribution software also provides the following additional benefits:

1. Technology can be much more accurate than the human hand. As orders are only entered once into small business inventory software, this decreases the opportunity for error.

2. Add-on items are easily connected to all items ordered by your customers. This benefits both the customer, who saves time by not having to place an additional order, and sales staff who can increase profits as sales increase.

3. The order fulfillment process becomes quicker and more efficient because all documentation is digitally produced so any employee can easily find and alter an invoice as needed.

4. The amount of time and cash require to ship an order is frequently reduced because most distribution software for small business is capable of finding the lowest rates possible before finalizing the contract.

5. Distribution software for small business centralizes information and prevents alterations by employees. It ensures that no details will slip through the cracks.

6. Customers will be able to quickly and accurately access the information that they need. Open lines of communication with your client will demonstrate your company’s professionalism in operations. Small business distribution software offers great advantages to small, growing distributors.

Hi Spec Doorsets Benefits from Acumatica's 24/7 ERP

Acumatica, a provider of cloud-based enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions for small and medium-sized companies, recently announced the publication of their latest case study featuring the benefits experienced by Hi Spec Doorsets after switching their ERP system to Acumatica.

Based in the United Kingdom, Hi Spec manufactures tailored doorsets for the construction industry providing customized solutions for hotels, offices, and residential developments, and for the health and education sectors. Hi Spec's old system required the sales staff to update leads, contacts, and sales orders from the office, because the remote login software was faulty.

Hi Spec found Acumatica's solution appealing for its reduced maintenance costs and no user licensing requirements. By utilizing Acumatica’s browser-based system, Hi Spec’s problems with remote login disappeared.

In addition, Acumatica offers financial management, distribution, CRM, and project accounting suites. Acumatica Studio, the company’s technology development platform, gives ISVs and OEMs a rapid, cost-effective means of developing and integrating cloud-based apps, using industry-standard tools.

To read more about the Hi Spec Doorsets implementation, visit the Acumatica News blog.

Acumatica Helps Precision Manufacturing Become ISO-Certified

Acumatica, a cloud-based enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution for small and medium-sized companies, recently announced that Precision Manufacturing Solutions, a New Zealand-based electronics manufacturer,  saw a 20% increase in sales after the implementation.

Started in 2007, Precision Manufacturing Solutions crafts soldering machines, reflow ovens, and paste printers. As the company grew over the years, its internal system of using spreadsheets to organize data and convey information became unsustainable.

After searching for a web-based enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, the company chose Acumatica, which does not charge for individual user licenses - a key consideration for small businesses. In addition,  Acumatica provides highly customizable, cloud-based ERP applications offering financial management, distribution, CRM, and project accounting suites.

Since the switch to Acumatica’s browser-based system last year, Precision has seen its staff grow by 15% and sales grow by 20%. The company also received its ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System certification in early 2013. A designation that Precision credits to the efficiency and accuracy the Acumatica suite brought to the company's manufacturing processes.

TDBBS Picks Acumatica’s Cloud ERP For Enhanced Customization

TDBBS, a leading natural pet products manufacturer located in Richmond, VA, has a large, and growing, fan base of animal lovers seeking all-natural products for dogs and cats.

Why Distributors Need To Invest In E-commerce

Did you know that forty percent of distributors have no revenue from e-commerce — and almost 10 percent have no plans to enter the e-commerce market?

In the early phase of e-commerce, smaller companies could look and act like big companies online. But customers want more from e-commerce. The cost for such a great e-commerce experience is rising —and the smaller companies can’t keep up. With Amazon Supply coming onto the scene and converging business-to-consumer e-commerce with business-to-business e-commerce, it’s a smart move for distributors to invest in this area.
